VIRTUALLY GUARANTEED BLUE SKIES AND SUMMER SUNSHINE IN HIGH SEASON, in the lovely fishing village of AKBUK on the Turkish Aegean Coast (Near Altinkum). Villa Mumtaz is ideal for a great holiday April to October, but is available to rent all year round for a break when the weather at home gets too cold for you.

VILLA MUMTAZ is a tastefully furnished, well equipped, 3-bedroom, detached villa that sleeps 6 to 8 (1king-size bed, 1 twin room and 1 bunk bed, plus full-size double sofa-bed) and we have a rocking travel-cot for your little one (for your peace of mind, please bring your own travel-mattress and cot bedding). The villa has 1 Jacuzzi-bath/shower with toilet and 1 downstairs shower/toilet (wetroom). The large, open-plan lounge-kitchen-diner has French doors leading out to the covered ground-floor, pool-side terrace, which is furnished with cane table and chairs. This terrace has an excellent view of the pool, so you can keep one eye on the kids as you relax in comfort and shade! Air-conditioning (cooling/heating) is in all living/sleeping rooms; the kitchen has a cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and the usual small appliances (washing-machine upstairs); the lounge area has satellite TV (28"), DVD-CD-VCD etc player with surround-sound speaker system and portable stereo Radio/CD/Cassette. The large, roof-top sun-terrace is furnished with table, chairs, umbrella, sun-loungers, 'cooling-off' shower and BBQ, and has stunning sea & mountain views. An ample swimming pool (with integral toddlers' paddling area) is available if you don't feel like taking the short stroll to the waterfront or beaches for a swim.

The villa is elderly/disabled friendly: ie - ramp to front door; downstairs toilet/shower (standard width door) and double sofa-bed; the complex has paved, level paths and some kerbs are lowered. Local mini-markets/shops also have ramps and the surrounding area is quite flat. The village and beach areas also have purpose-built disabled toilets.

(PS - Our first guest family enjoyed it so much they immediately purchased their own place in Akbük!)

NB: Prices are for the villa, per week (not 'per person') for up to 6 people. There is a small additional charge for the 7th & 8th persons to cover the extra water, electricity and laundry (one baby under 2 yrs does not count).

PLEASE NOTE: This is self-catering accommodation. Help can be given to find flights and/or transfers. Or if you wish, why not hire a car, pick it up at the airport and economically solve transfers and holiday transport all in one go? (But you don't need a car to enjoy the area.)

The Area
VILLA MUMTAZ is on a small, privately-owned site in the beautiful Aegean fishing village resort of Akbuk. Nestling in a sheltered bay surrounded by pine-clad foot-hills, with many small beaches and fisherman's jetty, Akbuk still retains lots of Turkish charm. The small harbour, beaches, shops, dance-bars and restaurants are only a short, effortless stroll away from the villa's front-door. In summer, a small fun-fair operates close by. The resort of Altinkum and town of Didim, with their larger shops and famous Saturday market are about 20 mins away by car (35 mins by dolmus). Many famous sites of antiquity, such as the Temple of Apollo at Didim, the ancient cities of Ephasus, Miletos & Priene and more, are peppered all around the surrounding area. There is mountain-biking & -walking, various water-borne activities, fishing, bird-watching, riding school, pony trekking, boat trips, fun-fair (Summer) and lots more, plus a nearby aqua-park for the kids (and Dad!)

Villa Mumtaz and Akbuk are the perfect combination. A comfortable base for a restful holiday in peaceful surroundings with everything within walking distance, but it is also very easy to visit other clubs. pubs and restaurants at Paradise Beach (nearby), Didim, Altinkum and the many tourist attractions by dolmus, tour-bus or hire-car.
