The property is also within easy reach of Caylus, Cordes sue Ciel and less than 1 hour's drive from Albi. Many sporting activities are available at St Antonin - horse riding, canoeing, cycling, tennis and rock climbing, together with shops and 2 small supermarkets, numerous bars, restaurants, banks and the famous Sunday morning market.

OUT OF SEASON BREAKS
The property is ideal for a Spring or early Autumn holiday, as there is a wood-burning fire in the open-plan ground floor area, together with other independent heaters.

INTERIOR
The open-plan ground floor area measures approximately 10.5m x 5m.

The lounge, offering comfortable seating and open fireplace - leads through to the kitchen which is generously equipped with units, cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, plus a centre-island unit (1m x 2m) with salad drainer, ideal for food preparation.

An open-plan staircase leads up to 2 bedrooms and the main bathroom.
Bedroom 1: (4m x 5m) with double bed.
Bedroom 2: (3.5m x 5m) with twin beds and views across the countryside.

From the main floor, the staircase will also lead you down to Bedroom 3: (4m x 4.5 m) with double bed, en-suite shower room and door to the gardens.

The utility room is also located on this level, with washing machine and an additional fridge/freezer.

POOL
There are tables and chairs arranged around the gardens for taking a lazy, sunny breakfast or a long lunch. Garden loungers (enough for everybody) are located around the pool, within easy visibility of the house and gardens.

People can often under-estimate the importance of restricting access to the pool area when there are young children present, At this property, access to the pool area is secured by a fence and gate thus giving parents complete peace of mind when children are in the gardens, A variety of toys and inflatables for the pool are provided for children's use. There is also a paddling pool for little toddlers.

The Area
The properties are approximately a day's drive from the Channel Ports and just over an hour from Toulouse Airport. Rodez airport is on average 1 hour 15 mins and Carcassone 2 hours to most of the properties.

All properties are just short drives from Medieval towns steeped in history which still enjoy a quiet sophistication, together with friendly local people who have a warmth to match their lovely countryside. The area is unspoilt by the over-crowding of tourists experienced nowadays in many parts of France.

All properties enjoy a panoramic view and mostly are surrounded on all sides by open countryside. The properties offer tranquility and relaxation and yet are still within easy reach of amenities.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.

ACTIVITIES
Horse riding, canoeing, fishing, bird watching, rail trips, rock climbing, wine tasting, museums, pot-holing, tennis and of course walking. Golf is available at Albi (18-hole delightful course), where there is also a water-park for children. An afternoon's excursion by canoe through the Aveyron Gorge is considered a 'must' by nearly all guests.

A number of local villages and towns have interesting and colourful markets. (NB: Be sure not to miss the local market in St Antonin held on SUNDAY mornings and Villefranche on Thursdays).

EXCURSIONS BY CAR
Within short driving distances, excursions can also be made to a number of fascinating towns and villages including Cordes, Albi, Najac, Cahors, St Antonin Noble Val and Bruniquel, all of which are well worth a visit. The larger towns house excellent restaurants to cater for all budgets.
