Description
Only available for rental during the peak summer period of July and August. All bedrooms, kitchen and the lounge face south onto the patio and pool which is a few feet away from the accommodation. French windows in the lounge and the kitchen/garden room open fully to enjoy the best of the summer weather.

The pool is rounded at each end and measures 40ft by 20ft with a depth ranging from 3ft to 5ft. There are relaxers, sun beds and parasols around the pool area - a great place to read, eat, listen to the bird songs, snooze and of course have the occasional swim!

Because of the position of the pool and the steep river bank the property is not really suitable for very young children.

There are three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms with toilet.

The French windows in the lounge lead onto the south facing patio which is equipped with a retractable awning, providing essential shade from the sun.

On one side of the property is a lawned area with a BBQ, where games such a boules or frisbee can be played. There are two mountain bikes for guests and close by there are some designated cross country cycle tracks and many delightful walks. Pool toys, high chair, cot etc are available.


ACCOMMODATION
The light, bright kitchen, fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and fridge/freezer adjoins the main living area which has ample chairs and sofas. All bedrooms are on the ground floor and have a view of the pool and garden. There are two modern bathrooms, one with a separate toilet.

A selection of 200 CDs, 100 paperbacks and family games are available in the large comfortable living room. There is a TV with French broadcasts, CNN, Eurosport, BBC World and some children's channels. A DVD is supplied with a small selection of disks.

The Area
The properties are approximately a day's drive from the Channel Ports and just over an hour from Toulouse Airport. Rodez airport is on average 1 hour 15 mins and Carcassone 2 hours to most of the properties.

All properties are just short drives from Medieval towns steeped in history which still enjoy a quiet sophistication, together with friendly local people who have a warmth to match their lovely countryside. The area is unspoilt by the over-crowding of tourists experienced nowadays in many parts of France.

All properties enjoy a panoramic view and mostly are surrounded on all sides by open countryside. The properties offer tranquility and relaxation and yet are still within easy reach of amenities.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.

ACTIVITIES
Horse riding, canoeing, fishing, bird watching, rail trips, rock climbing, wine tasting, museums, pot-holing, tennis and of course walking. Golf is available at Albi (18-hole delightful course), where there is also a water-park for children. An afternoon's excursion by canoe through the Aveyron Gorge is considered a 'must' by nearly all guests.

A number of local villages and towns have interesting and colourful markets. (NB: Be sure not to miss the local market in St Antonin held on SUNDAY mornings and Villefranche on Thursdays).

EXCURSIONS BY CAR
Within short driving distances, excursions can also be made to a number of fascinating towns and villages including Cordes, Albi, Najac, Cahors, St Antonin Noble Val and Bruniquel, all of which are well worth a visit. The larger towns house excellent restaurants to cater for all budgets.
