LOCATION
This relaxing and tranquil location is 7km from Caylus, a fascinating medieval town which has barely changed with the passage of time. Market days are Tuesdays and Saturdays and you will delight in the local produce such as fruits, vegetables, honey, herbs, cheeses and wines. During the season there are several 'medieval' evening markets.
Nearby there are restaurants and bars, a small supermarket, patisseries and butchers.
PROPERTY
Le Bosquet is situated on a plateau and enjoys some 10 acres of land and woodland.
There are many places to find that all important shade during the summer, and there are plenty of loungers for relaxing around the pool.
From the house and gardens there are views across the wonderful countryside, ideal for walkers and nature lovers. Wildlife abounds - there are birds, butterflies, dragonflies, deer and wild flowers.
As you enter through the extensive courtyard, your holiday begins.

Entry through the main door takes you into the dining area extending to the lounge, making a room of approximately 55 sq m which has retained most of its traditional charm. Off the dining room is the fully equipped kitchen, which has everything you need to benefit from the delightful local produce found at the local markets.
The mater bedroom with en-suite is exceptionally large and well furnished with chairs, bedside lamps, overhead fan and a sofa. From here leads onto a private terrace with lovely views of the garden and beyond.
The bathroom, which has a bath with shower facility, bidet, toilet and hand basin, has a delightful view to the gardens with a private terrace. The second bathroom is also on the ground floor with bath, shower facility, bidet, toilet and sink.
The staircase takes you to 3 very pretty spacious bedrooms which have vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. To the left of the staircase there is a twin bedded room and to the right a twin room which leads through to a double. (This does mean that you have to access the double by passing through the twin, making it suitable either for one family or perhaps the children.)

The Area
The properties are approximately a day's drive from the Channel Ports and just over an hour from Toulouse Airport. Rodez airport is on average 1 hour 15 mins and Carcassone 2 hours to most of the properties.
All properties are just short drives from Medieval towns steeped in history which still enjoy a quiet sophistication, together with friendly local people who have a warmth to match their lovely countryside. The area is unspoilt by the over-crowding of tourists experienced nowadays in many parts of France.
All properties enjoy a panoramic view and mostly are surrounded on all sides by open countryside. The properties offer tranquility and relaxation and yet are still within easy reach of amenities.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
Nearby are Medieval villages, Bastide towns, Chateaux, Abbeys, Churches and magnificent natural sites of outstanding beauty; whether it be wooded valleys or the meandering River Aveyron with its dramatic gorges.
ACTIVITIES
Horse riding, canoeing, fishing, bird watching, rail trips, rock climbing, wine tasting, museums, pot-holing, tennis and of course walking. Golf is available at Albi (18-hole delightful course), where there is also a water-park for children. An afternoon's excursion by canoe through the Aveyron Gorge is considered a 'must' by nearly all guests.
A number of local villages and towns have interesting and colourful markets. (NB: Be sure not to miss the local market in St Antonin held on SUNDAY mornings and Villefranche on Thursdays).
EXCURSIONS BY CAR
Within short driving distances, excursions can also be made to a number of fascinating towns and villages including Cordes, Albi, Najac, Cahors, St Antonin Noble Val and Bruniquel, all of which are well worth a visit. The larger towns house excellent restaurants to cater for all budgets.
