Description
Our brand new apartment is situated in Alexander Hills Complex,
which is just 800m from the centre of Yalikavak (www.yalikavak.co.uk)
on the beautiful Aegean Coast of Turkey.

Yalikavak was once a fishing village, but thanks to its new multi-million pound marina (www.portbodrum.com) and wonderful sea food waterfront restaurants it has become the St Tropez of the Bodrum Peninsula.
A 15 minute stroll or 6YTL for a taxi (approx Ł2.00) will bring you from the apartment to the Marina or town centre.

Yalikavak is a traditional Turkish fishing village on the northern (quieter and less commercialised) coast of the Bodrum Peninsula. It has yet to appear in the mainstream travel brochures and so is a perfect retreat for those more discerning of travellers, looking for a quieter holiday but in easy reach of the hustle and bustle of Bodrum. It is well served by the local bus service -
(Dolmus approx 60p to Bodrum) with routes to all the resorts on the peninsula.
There is no need for car hire unless you want to explore further afield.

By day the streets are relatively quiet, while visitors lie on the beach or shelter in the shade, but after sunset, Yali comes alive.
There are a couple of discos to cater for the younger holiday makers, but most of the tourists spend their evening in some of the wonderful restaurants, naturally specialising in local seafood.
Afterwards they head to the local bars and taverns, where the sound of conversation is as loud as it gets.
There are many bars in Yalikavak, but for more active night life visit some of the nearby neighbouring resorts i.e. Gumbet or Bodrum
.
Banks and Cash machines are plentiful as are local supermarkets.
Makro, B & Q and Marks & Spencers stores are on the route to Bodrum.
There is also a large open air market held in the town every Thursday, where local produce of fresh fruit and vegetables is plentiful along with handbags, shoes and clothes.

The complex has a large communal outdoor swimming pool with separate childrens' pool and play area, crazy golf, cafe/snack bar, 24 hour on-site security.
Ours is a 1st floor apartment on an elevated site with fabulous views of the mountains and the Aegean Sea with a balcony from where you can dine or just relax and watch the sun setting.
Accommodation details:
The apartment is fully air conditioned and furnished to a very high standard with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are included in rental price. Please bring your own towels for Beach/Pool.

Bedroom 1: King Size Bed with under storage for suitcases, 2 bedside lockers and a triple wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds with under storage for suitcases, one bedside locker and a double wardrobe.
Bathroom: Fully tiled electric shower cubicle, WC,hair drier, sink, mirror, electric shaving point and storage cupboard.
Patio: Wooden table with 4 chairs, which can be used as additional seating inside, if required.

The Area
The Bodrum Peninsula is one of the most beautiful parts of Turkey's Aegean Coast. The coast line is dotted with fishing villages and resorts, each with their own individual character.
There are many beaches to suit all tastes, either with or without watersports.
Yalikavak is an ideal place for exploring the area by boat and several of the Gullets in the harbour offer Aegean trips, including lunch, swimming, snorkeling, diving and sun bathing. For those wishing to partake in a little more serious yachting, yacht charter is also available.Those wishing to venture a bit further might like to take the ferry across from Bodrum or Turgutreis to the Greek island of Kos..
